Five for Friday

So, this morning I was struggling with if I could do Five for Friday this week.  Now that I'm out of school, I don't have quite as much material as I would have during a normal crazy week.  I mean my routine consists of movies, naps, reading, blogging, creating, eating, and that's pretty much the extent of it.  Bears go into hibernation in the winter.  Well, I think I may have gone into my own type of craft room hibernation this week.

Anyway, I came up with a plan.  For my five (at least on weeks where I'm more on the boring side), I'm going to do a book to read, movie to watch, place to eat, a song to listen to, and a fun app for your phone.  Oh, and I'm linking all of my favorites so you can go check them out for yourself if you want.

BOOK TO READ
One of my favorite books is The Devil Wears Prada.  I've read it tons of times and there's also a sequel out although to me, it isn't quite as good as the original book.  Oh, and there's also a movie if you like to read books that align to movies.

MOVIE TO WATCH
I'm in love with Pitch Perfect.  I know it's been out for awhile, but when I'm working on my laptop it is one of my favorites.  I still laugh just as much today as I did the first time I saw it.  A matter of fact, have to tell you, I watched it two times last night.

PLACE TO EAT
I have a couple of favorites, but right now the one that I beg for weekly is Meat N Greet.  We walk in and the atmosphere is like Cheers (at least what I think it would be like).  We get the same waitresses every time.  Last week, we walked in, they met us with our drinks before we even ordered and got our appetizer wings going.  Then, they quoted our order to us before we even ordered.  Oh, and my favorite waitress came over and hugged me and checked on us.  Seriously, the service is incredible and the food is just as great!

A SONG TO LISTEN TO
My favorite song right now is called "Riptide" by Vance Joy.  I heard it on the radio a few weeks ago and I just love the beat.  True story - I am making a beach playlist for when I go on vacation :)  This will definitely be on it.

A FUN APP
Apps aren't good for me because I get addicted to them.  Playing games are one of my favorite ways to relax.  My favorite right now is Candy Crush Soda Saga.  Um... friends I'm already to level 240.  It's a good thing that once I run out of lives I have to wait 30 minutes for another one.

So, what are some of your favorites?

  1. Lol, we just watched Pitch Perfect this week! One of our faves :) I enjoy Riptide more for the chords on the ukulele. I love songs that I can learn to play. Sounds like your off to a great summer. Today is my first full day home. Lovin' it!
